For our first year in 2005, we organised sporting activities with English Cricket providing a safe 'net' area for people
of all ages to test their cricketing prowess.
We were fortunate to be sponsored by Alan Coles in 2006 to host The Earl of Northampton's
Regiment of Foote (Sealed Knott Organisation) and the focus was on the history of the English Civil War and Battle of
Brentford.
In 2007 our Festival was very much focused on Music, Water (with the participation of Brentford Boat Club),
as well as the unveiling of the restored Henry William Pickersgill painting of Colonel James Clitherow in Boston Manor House.
In 2008, the focus moved back once more to Sports with British Cycling joining the usual team of Football, Rugby, Tennis and
Multi Sports events. Boston Manor Tennis Club holds a tournament each year for their members. If you are not yet a member and would like to participate, you
can join the club for a very reasonable annual fee, details of which can be found
here .
We were joined by the Vikings in 2009 who helped to make the Festival a huge success. Blessed with good weather, visitors to the
event were estimated at 10,000. Please visit our 2009 web page for more details about the day.
More information on the previous Festivals will be provided shortly but, meanwhile, you may like to watch the picture show of
previous Festivals on our Festival 2010 Page.
