Brentford Festival Partners 2011
Meet our Brentford Festival
Media Partners for 2011 here:
Because the Brentford Festival is organised on a purely voluntary, not for profit basis, the Organising
Committee rely heavily on local volunteers, community grants, businesses and media to provide funding,
support in kind, and media coverage to spread our message
across so that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy this spectacular day free of charge.
This page is designed to acknowledge the generosity of those who help and support us and we hope
you will take the time and effort to read about their contribution to the Festival

Follow the high points, low points,
fun and disappointments of life as an Event Organiser in the
Hounslow Chronicle monthly 'Diaries of
an Event Organiser' articles.
In the words of this multi-media newspaper:
«The Hounslow Chronicle is delighted to
have formed a working partnership with the organisers of Brentford Festival to help promote and
support this important local event. The paper and its
website www.hounslowchronicle.co.uk
will publish regular stories leading up to the Festival in
September along with a monthly diary column from festival organiser Linda Massey.
The Hounslow Chronicle Series is published every Friday and has three
editions covering: Hounslow and Heston; Brentford, Isleworth and
Chiswick; and Feltham, Bedfont and Hanworth. For all the latest breaking
news from across the borough go to: www.hounslowchronicle.co.uk.»
We are very
pleased to have our local on-line news agency
BrentfordTW8.com on board. Visit them
for new stories and updates about the Brentford Festival, as well as up to the minute news on all local events
and views. We are very grateful to BrentfordTW8.com for their continuing support, especially Editor,
Kath Richardson, who has often updated Festival news on their website quicker than we have on ours!
A message from Kath Richardson: «BrentfordTW8.com, edited by Brentford Resident Kath Richardson, is very pleased to have a fantastic
festival on its door step and is happy to promote and support the Brentford Festival in any way possible,
encouraging local businesses, musicians, community organisations to participate and all our residents to
come along. Updates are posted throughout the year following the planning of the festival. These, along
with everything else to do with Brentford can be found on
www.brentfordtw8.com and www.ealingtoday.co.uk
is our sister site for Ealing. Register for a weekly newsletter from each site.»
Being, literally, on the border between Ealing
and Hounslow, we are grateful for the opportunity to work with EalingToday to pass on news, stories and updates to our neighbours on the Ealing
side. Linda Massey, our Event Manager, lives across the road in Ealing and many of the other organisations for whom she works are based there.
Meet our Brentford Festival
Partners in Kind for 2011 here:
Each year we are supported by a variety of
companies, organisations and individuals, without whom the Festival would not take place. They kindly supply a variety
of equipment, goods and essential personnel free of charge to help reduce the costs of the Festival and relieve the heavy
burden of work for the Organising Committee. We mention our Partners in kind for Festival 2011 (with links
to their websites) here:
- GlaxoSmithKline and
G4S - for supplying security, stewards and parking
- Fuller Smith & Turner -
for donation of beer towards the Friends of Boston Manor run bar
(all proceeds going back into the park)
- ISIS -
for sponsoring the printing of this year's flyers.
- Marmalade Designs -
who kindly provision artwork and design
- Friends of Boston Manor -
for provision of volunteers in all areas
- Indendent Audio -
We value the expertise that Independent Audio have brought to the event year on year. They have helped raise our profile and that of the musicians performing at our event
As well as the partners above, the event could not take place without the huge support provided by:
- Friends of Boston Manor whose members work all year round to improve Boston Manor Park
and to provide community facilities and events, such as the vountarily run cafe and Brentford
Festival. All proceeds from the bars, cafe, tea garden and PIMMS bar at the Festival will be invested in new equipment,
furniture, events and projects within the park. FOBM contributes to and underwrites the cost of the
Brentford Festival each year.
- Continental Landscapes, whose employees, lead by Tony Keaveney, not only work all year to maintain Boston Manor Park to
its Green Flag Award standard, but work tirelessly setting up, stewarding and dismantling before,
during and after the Event.
