The Brentford Festival provides the perfect
forum for a range of local Institutions, Community, Support and Advice Groups. The local Ealing Fire Brigade usually offer
advice on fire prevention and demonstrations on how to deal with fires in the home and elsewhere. The local
Safer Neightbourhoods team is on hand to meet
Festival visitors, offering advice on safety and security matters.
Local ward councillors and
representatives from political parties usually attend to advise and share information.
Brentford Chamber of Commerce attends to offer advice and membership to businesses. Other groups that usually attend are:
St Paul's Centre, Brentford Recycle, Brentford Churches, Ealing Cycling Bike Doctor,
to name just a few. Look for updates on our Festival 2010 page for this year's stands. Updates will also be posted on the BrentfordTW8 website at
with thanks for their continued support.
A real favourite community stall for the children is the Hounslow Urban Farm.
Here children can meet several of the animals from the farm and find out how they can visit the farm for activities including pig
racing and animal handling sessions every weekend, bank holidays and daily during school holidays. We hope to have the
Farm at the Festival in 2010. Updates can be found on our Festival 2010 page.
Although they may not take a stand at the Festival, the Organising Committee would like to thank both the Probation Service and the
Hounslow Young Offenders Team (YOT) who annually support the Festival by using their teams of probationers and young offenders, working
their community hours, to assist in advance preparation and the setting up of the Festival site.
