Festival 2011 - 12 noon, Sunday, 4th September, 2011

We will be updating the BF2011 page soon but, meantime, please visit our BFFeedback & Photos page to see what happened on the day.

Lots of new events but same Community Spirit - and our Community is getting BIGGER, from an estimated 3,000 in 2005 to 12,000 in 2010. Read on for more information

Download your BF2011 Site Map here and your Programme here.

S.I.T. Dog Training will again be running the 2011 Brentford Festival Dog Show. You can now download a copy of their flyer here for detailed information. The Dog Show was held in the bottom (wildflower meadow) field successfully last year and will probably take place in the same area this year. Please see the separate Dog Show page for general information and a picture show from previous Festivals.

We will be providing our usual taster sessions in a variety of sports and are grateful to the following clubs and associations who have agreed to run this year's activities: Spartans Youth Football Club, Boston Manor Tennis Club Brentford FC Community Sports Trust, Grasshoppers Rugby Club, Hanwell School of Boxing and EDGE the kayak and canoe club, working with Brentford Boating Arch (BAA). Ealing Cycling will also be at the Festival with their Dr. Bike sessions so don't forget to bring your bike along (and avoid the traffic jams in the process). Visit our Sports Page for more information about the clubs.

On the old Bowling Green, we have some interactive workshops - Drumming (with Joo Doo Drums) and Zumba Dancing (with Freeman Dance Fitness), so make sure you bring your dancing shoes with you for these exciting new activities. There will also be a show by The Red Barrows, hot-footing it from the Hanwell Carnival, so pick up your free programme at the Brentford Festival on the day for a full list of activities.

View our picture show from the 2010 Festival for a taste of what this West London Event can offer.

We have so much to tell you and we don't want to bore you with too much information so, briefly, we will also have:

A climbing Wall | Bungie jumping | Lenny the Land Train | Real Fire Engine (unless there is an emergency)
and all these lovely activities below:

Traditional FairsTraditional Children's Fairground

We have our usual traditional children's fair including: Chair O Plane Ride, New Darts Game, Hook A Bag Game, Ball in the Bucket Game, Swing Boats, Children's Toy Ride, Inflatable Slide, Candy Floss Stall, Cork Shooter, Can Can Stall, Children's Prize Striker, Bucking Bronco and Bouncy Castle

www.freedigitalphotos.net Antiques Roadshow

Time to search your attics and garages and bring your long forgotten pieces of history for comments and evaluation. New to Brentford Festival 2011, we have an Antiques Roadshow this year which will take place on the old bowling green, opposite the walled garden and next to the tennis courts. Chiswick Auctions have kindly agreed to join us with their valuers, so keep visiting BF2011 for updates on this exciting addition to the Festival.

Boston Manor House Boston Manor House - Jacobean Jewel

The bad new is that Boston Manor House is still closed to the public due to essential repair works but the good news is that the House will be open for tours on 4th September at the Brentford Festival. We do not have full details as yet and there may be a nominal charge for the tour to cover expenses. Don't miss this opportunity to visit our Jacobean jewel and please keep checking this page for further information.

SimulatorFlight Simulator

We did have one booked for 2010 which didn't arrive, but we have been assured by our new source that, come rain, shine or volcanic ash, we will have a flight simulator at BF2011 to appeal to visitors of all ages. Travel 'virtually' anywhere without spending hours stuck in airports and the hassle of packing suitcases. Visit the Brentford Festival and experience the sensation of flying your own plane to virtual destinations. Only your imagination can limit the exotic countries (and planets) you can virtually reach. You will be able to catch your flight from the car park near the Pavilion Cafe.

Adrenalin Rush Adrenalin Rush

Adrenalin Rush Laser Combat (ARLC) provides yet more action packed family fun. ARLC is like stepping into a LIVE videogame such as Counter-Strike, Halo or Call Of Duty, with a strong emphasis on small unit tactics and leadership. This adrenalin-filled game is for anyone from 7 to 100 to play. The less mobile can take up a sniper role, staying in one position and picking opponents off! It’s not about how fast you move, but how you move! You can contact the company for your own events and parties. ARLC will be based in the Meadow, close to the canal.

The stalls booked for the 2011 Festival are listed below. Please use the links to obtain further information about the stallholder websites but you can view their products or obtain information in person here, at the Brentford Festival 2011, on Sunday, 4th September. We are no longer accepting applications for stallholders at BF2011, as we do not have suitable, available space. Please book early for BF2012 if you would like a stall next year.

Friends of Boston Manor BarFestival Cafe, Tea Garden & Bars

As well as all the caterers at the Festival, Friends of Boston Manor provides a cafe, real ale bar, Tea Garden and PIMMS bar at the Festival so nobody need be thirsty. The Pavilion Cafe serves hot and cold, non-alcoholic drinks as well as sandwiches, sausage rolls and home-made cakes; the real ale bar serves Fuller's London Pride, wine, lager, cider and soft drinks; and the PIMMS bar, of course, sells - PIMMS. You will find them all marked on the BF2011 Site Map, a link to which can be found at the top of the page but, briefly, the Cafe is opposite the children's playground near the car park, the real bar is in the top field near the food stalls and the PIMMS bar is in the walled garden, where you will also find a wealth of music, detailed below. There is also a Tea Garden in the walled area where children can choose their own picnic items for their picnic boxes. Any profits raised by Friends of Boston Manor are re-invested in Boston Manor Park and the local community. Everyone staffing the bars, tea garden and cafe do so on a totally voluntary basis.
